Monday in Chicago at the NPPL started off fine but storm clouds and lightening rolled in over the SPX Sports grounds after 6 games of the Pro Quarter finals matches and caused the webcast crew to flee their 20 foot tower for the safety of lower ground.

In the D1 3 team battle despite a great showing by Warped Army in the Pro-Am prelim ranking1 st and automatically qualifying for the finals, Naughty Dog Silver clawed their way through the Semi finals with Hate Crew  winning 2-0 and then against Warped Army winning 2-0 to take the D1 Championship.

In the Pro Divisions, Dynasty couldn't back up their performance after winning the Millennium Bitburg and Millennium Malaga event last weekend with their Dynasty/ Impact US combo team. They lost lots of players off the breaks and couldn't recover finishing 6th overall. XSV showed some improvement making it to the top 8 after some disappointing tournament results and finished 7th overall. Entourage did marginally better than Dynasty but missed the final 4 cut and finished 5th overall.

The Semi finals pitted Impact Vs Avalanche and Damage Vs Infamous. Damage looked strong during the Quarters and continued this form rolling over Infamous in 2 games. Impact lost their first game to Avalanche but came back in the 2nd match when Justin Connel did a solo run through taking out 4 players to force a 3rd game. Impact went on to win the 3rd match for their chance to take on Damage in the finals.

In the consolation Finals match Avalanche continued their losing streak and lost 2 in a row to Infamous - Infamous taking 3rd with Avalanche 4th place. The Finals Championship match of Impact Vs Damage was a repeat of the PSP Phoenix finals. Damage didn't let history repeat itself and took down the favourites in 2 straight matches to take the title of NPPL Chicago 2010 Champions. See if you can pick the new addition to their NPPL Chicago line-up? Congratulations to the team, their coaches and support staff.
